Another LVNV success!

Did they send you a dunning notice?

No they never did, i remeber it being on my credit report for a while now and i paid it off, unknowingly thinking that i shouldnt have.

I disputed it through BBB and its nowhere to be found on my credit report now, BBB never sent me a notice or anything... But my credit score went up!

So I got a response from LVNV through the BBB that basically says they bought the debt from another JDB and had two of their "third party collection agencies" try to collect on it, but since neither collection agency "had contact with you then no dunning was required"! What??! I was under the impression that the collection reporting on my credit report was the initial contact... Am I wrong? I am going to obviously counter dispute, but what do I say?

I received a reply from LVNV Funding when I filed BBB complaint that they sent a validation/verification letter on 4/8/2009.  I rejected their response stating that I would like a signed delivery receipt showing I received alleged letter.  Sent response on 6/20, haven't heard anything back.

I received a response from BBB and it's being removed in 30 to 45 days. Yay. But, it looks like LVNV Funding passed the debt on to Allied Interstate.
