I've had a lot of luck the past few months with disputes, PFds & getting companies to settle for less, etc. A few months back I was ablt to settle an old bill with Verizon Wirelsss but they refused to do anything about how it was reporting. I figured I'd pay it & try sending goodwill letters & maybe I'd have some success at some point. So far nothing, zip, nada.
I paid this bill in April & they've got 26 (26!) 90+ day lates listed on my Experian report (last reporting was in April). I don't understand why they go to the trouble of reporting every single month to Experian & not the others? The others are updated as far as the account being paid, $0 balance, etc., but there's no mention of all the lates.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Maybe a contact? My scores are finally starting to creep back up & I can't help but think if I could just get these somehow removed (or, maybe the newest one?) that it would be a huge help.
Thank you!

What would the basis of the complaint be? I mean, as much as I'd love to say they're not reporting accurately, I suppose (unfortunately) they are. I'm just asking for a goodwill gesture to delete the lates.

Seriously? I did not know this. THANK YOU for the tip...I'll definitely give this a try!
"Collection cannot report lates. Verizon is not an installement or revolving to report any lates or payment history."

Same situation with me. Shows as paid collection on EQ and TU but has 6 lates on EX since it went to collections. I have been good willing for the past 2months to get it removed from my reports but they come back and say NO! I am going to try and dispute it as not reporting correctly and see what happens. I just want the whole damn things removed from all 3 bureaus. I am doing great so far with rebuilding but Verizon hasn't been so nice. And I have a current account with them now which I threatened to leave but still no dice. Oh well not giving up til something happens in my favor.

Hi. Since you arw curren customer why don't you just call and tell that you cancelling service. I would try that.
Pretty much I'm stuck with Verizon as well so I know how it is.
Anyways good luck
Thanks eric19k, I did tell them that in the letter and they said thanks for being a customer but NO! How far should I go before I actually cancel LOL I do like their service and this collections account was my brother I opened for him under my name that he let go to collections. He paid it off before I found this forum so I couldn't request a PFD. They are a tough nut to crack.
Im interested in this as well... has anyone here had success with PFD with Verizon or having them agree to remove it at all?
