but do they have to be a member of nfcu
I have a freind who's grandfather served but was done when the war was done and he cant join ...but i spoke with them and he can join as a member of my household, he has to have a utility in his name and they said he had to have lived here at least 6months.
I have a polebarn set on a seperate meter for elect and the bill runs 20.00 a month. I though about putting him on the electric bill but I am not sure since it says polebarn and not residental lol!! Not sure if that matters or not since maybe we converted the pole barn to a home??
NFCU is worth any Hard pulls and any hoops you need to jump through!!
My understanding is that aunts and uncles dont qualify you to join through them... is that still correct? Unless you live with them.

I could be wrong, but I think the sponsor has to be a member of your immediate family and be affiliated with some branch of the armed forces somehow, but I don't think they have to live in your household.
Two different things. Immediate family members is one way to be eligible or household members is another. Household member can be a friend but they do have to reside with you and be on a bill with you.
