DV process only works for collection accounts, not OC accounts... :/

I just realized what I typed...oops!! I meant GW! (don't know what I was thinking...hahaha) GW success stories please..lol
Was it paid in full, or did they still suffer a net loss?
UPDATE: SHOT DOWN TWICE IN THE SAME DAY First, by First Premier & now Univ. of Phoenix.
Received an email from UoP stating they will not remove my "paid. closed...written off" account that is reflecting it as a collection account.
Someone please tell me there is hope out there...should I keep bothering the same person who responded to me (I already emailed her back..lol) or step on her toes & keep going @ the "big dogs?" I already mailed letters to the President & a few other individuals.
Should I send GW letters back to back once I receive my negative responses or leave some time in between?
I've never had any luck with GW letters, so annoying.
I'm sorry to hear that @ ando35. Although I am just starting out with GW letters, getting shot down via email & mail is kind of discouraging. This forum is giving me a lot of hope so I'm going to keep trying b/c if I don't, I may not be able to reach my goal (hope to buy a condo within a year ). I hope to have a success story like a lot of people have here.
Have you been trying for a long time?
***UPDATE***
I sent an email a couple of weeks ago to UoP & received a response that they would not remove/update my account. I replied & asked to have my request reviewed again....the rep sent my request to her manager & I received a response today that they WILL remove the account!! I am SO HAPPY I want to cry with joy!! This account is reflecting on my credit reports as a charge off from March 2008....33 charge off's (YIKES!!) ..last reported in 7/11.
Here's the email I received:
Good Morning Ms. xxxx,
I heard back from my manager this morning and she was able to gain approval to remove the entry from your credit report. The request had been processed and I am told the entry is now removed. I believe the reports are only updated monthly, so you may want to check this time next month to verify. Please let me know if you need anything.

I am so glad to have this account removed because the payment history was obviously horrible! Does anyone know if this will help my score or hurt it? Btw it is listed as an installment loan. Even if it doesn't help, I'd rather get my CR's clear & start fresh than to have items like this on there....lol! God is good....I am a believer!!
I checked Experian.....& it's GONE!!! I haven't checked TU or EQ yet but I will keep you all posted.
I am SOOOO happy b/c I thought they'd be one of the toughest account's to have removed.
I went from 15 negative accounts on 4/24/12 to 9 today, with 1 that I am disputing (Afni- Verizon...don't believe it's my account), 2 I am trying to PFD (FPB & a medical bill) & the rest I am trying to GW to remove lates (2 Salllie Mae accounts, 1 FPB, Macy's, ACS for student loan), & for 1 of my student loans I made my 1st pymt for a rehab program last week.
I didn't think I could do it on my own. I considered hiring Lexington Law or one of those companies (don't waste your $, you can do it yourself!), but so glad I found this forum- I've found some wonderful & helpful info that is helping my dreams come true! Big thanks to all of the great contributors here!!
Persistence & Patience are the keys!!
