Anyone have info to get US Dept of Education Student Loan Late Payments Removed?

Hi I have written out a goodwill letter to get a 90 day late removed from Aug 2012 and I was shot down. Does anyone else have any ideas or contacts that might have to get something like this removed?

You might try the ombudsman, but that didn't work for me.  That one is tough; too much red tape.

Hmmm... call them.  I know for a fact i was told by at least two representatives that if you dont pay your bill they dont report late.  I've never missed a payment so i wouldnt know personally but i asked what happens if i do miss one. She said and i'm not mistaken " If you miss a payment , we don't report it".

Sorry, Ace.  That is flat wrong.  They do report if you are over 30 days late, and it is near impossible to remove.  I've tried for several years to get mine removed.

Umm no. Please travel over to the Student Loan forum to see how many of us have reported lates and are working through default. They report religiously.
