Im attempting to fix a few baddies on my husbands credit. He has an old collection from Cit Bank DFS for the amount of 3,582. It was charged off 8-06. At this time there is no CA reporting. I do have money reserves to fix most of his issues, but this amount would make our reserves sink to a low that makes me nervous, considering I have two pending pfds in the mail.
Has anyone been successful PFD'ing a lesser amount? If so, what was the amount difference? I would like to go as high as 2,250. Does that seem too low an offer?
