Holding your money hostage is reason enough, IMHO.

If it's 7 months I'd be happy my scores have gone up maybe 50Points (EQ has but I think the other two will be there two by the 7month mark).

Re: Anyone with the Discover Secured card graduate early here?

I hopped on the bandwagon in February of 2016 and opened mine with a TU 618.  SL of $400 then to $600 then to $800.  Unsecured In October with a TU638 and got a CLI to $1750.  Kept denying my CLI requests, waited one billing cycle and hit the CLI button and got a $3,950 CLI to 5700

Not for me, unfortunately.  I have had mine since February 2016, but my utilization has been high and my credit report is a work in progress, so it's understandable.  Good luck to you Smiley Happy

Re: Anyone with the Discover Secured card graduate early here?

Seems like scores need to be 640s and higher for it to unsecure.

That isn't a scientific study, just my observations from those who have reported their graduation here.

Re: Anyone with the Discover Secured card graduate early here?

Yeah. Mine was unsecured after 7 statements. And I haven't used the card even once. I asked for CLI immediately after and got a $500 CLI from $500 SL. I tried to asked again about a week later but it's been declined since. I'm not sure how long I have to wait from inital CLI to request for another.

Hopefully those who hasn't had theirs unsecure yet, it will be soon.
