Hi guys I have an applied card charge off for 2000. Still owned by applied. However on my credit reports it is listed in current accounts so I think it hurts n my score and utilization more. Can I dispute how its being reported, shouldn't it be a collection? I cant dv cause its the Oc... Suggestions?

Call them and see if they will settle for a lesser amount.
The balance is definitely affecting your utilization which is affecting your score.

I prefer to start with mail, I just like the paper trail. However, I've used social engineering myself to get thing cleaned up. Sometimes actually talking to them does work.

Shogun, is it being reported correctly in current revolving accounts but in comments says chargeoff/collection. Shouldn't it be in collection?

Actually no, it shouldn't. It is being reported by the OC so it would show in the revolving accounts.

I was able to get Applied Bank to remove my paid charge off awhile back. Not sure if they will allow you to settle and still have removed, wouldn't hurt to call and ask.
