General question...are charge offs all weighted the same or is their effect based on the magnitude of the amount charged off? Ex. Does a charge off of $100 posess the same negativity as a charge off of $1000...or $10,000? Thanks

They are the same from the perspective of your FICO payment history ~ the amount doesn't matter.
...however, I would presume it matters a bunch in its perception upon a manual reiew of your CR.
Reporting a charge-off is, in essence, placement in a consumer file of the determination of a creditor that you are going to stiff the debt..
It represents, untill paid and thus shown otherwise, a total loss. The amount of loss taken by a prior creditor would presumably by a factor.
I agree, no difference in scoring, however a manual review May factor it in.
