Are disputes worthwhile where I ask them to verify account details?

It's not like I am saying the account is not mine. I have a few old collections (under $200, paid, several years old) I would dearly love to see go away. What are the chances of seeing them magically disappear through the wonders of disputing?

Thanks!

In order to dispute, you must identify a specific inaccuracy in their reporting.

Otherwise, there is no requirment to investigate and the dispute can be dismissed without investigation as "frivolous or irrrelevant."

The dispure process is to permit correction of inaccurate reporting, not to get accurate reporting deleted.

What is inaccurate in their reporting?
