Are the fall of dates set in stone? And will the CRA budge any earlier?

I have 3/2011 and 5/2011 fall off dates for my onle baddie....i was wondering if I can try and push it up a little sooner? Or is it not the worth the loss of AAoA? It's a big CO. I have a short history with only 1 TL which will turn 2yrs. on 8/09.

The CRA definitely will not budge, it's strictly a data question.

Anecdotally, some folks have had them fall off six months before the 7 year mark, right at the 7 year mark, and six months after the 7 year mark.  I don't understand what the distinctions are for how they decide when exactly it falls off.  I've read speculation about:  officially, it can stay on for 7.5, but they sometimes remove at 7 just to be safe.  I assume that extends to the 6.5 mark too.

Sounds like it's an OC, so you might get them to remove it sooner.  But you'd be talking about a delete, since they can't change the DOFD.

It probably is helping your AAoA, so it's a judgment call on your part.  Your short history would get much shorter.

I had an account w/ a fall off date of june 09, I called experian on June 1st they said it would fall off at the end of the month but they would dispute it for me.  Got an email the next morning that it had been deleted!!  They were really nice!

My Crap 1 fell off EQ 1 year early!!  Due 07/2010....gone 3 days ago!!  (now for the other 2 cra's!)

So is it the CRA dropping it early??  Or cap 1??

Reason I ask is because a few years back I did have one come off 6 months prior due to me disputing it.  The CRA went ahead with it.  But, yes, my AAoA will take a major hit and I am basically going to be like starting fresh. Gosh darnit!! I can't win!!

Wow Bungalow! So, you initiated a dispute? Nice!!

My baddie is not Crap1.  It is a CO for a car.  It was never listed as a repo.  I have a judgment related to this but it does not show on all 3 CRA's.

NO...I did not initiate a dispute.  One day, it was just GONE!  EQ & EX always said drop off date is next July, but TU said this July.  TU still there...EQ gone & EX...well, I just hate them anyway!

CO's still affect your AAoA?

I know CA's don't.

Yes, because a CO is an actual OC account.  A CA is just that. Sucks huh?

Re: Are the fall of dates set in stone? And will the CRA budge any earlier?

Funny thing: I checked my EX report from 2006 against the current 2009 copy and one of my baddies says 2/2011 Fall off Date in the 2006 report and in the current 2009 report it says 3/2011. TU had the same dates.  I wonder why they would push it back 1 month? There are no differences whatsoever!! Hmmmm....
