I got a check today at my current address. No letter, or anything of the kind - just a check for $5.95. In the memo line, it has an address that I've never lived at that I've disputed on my credit reports. Are they trying to get my signature? What on earth is this about?

I wouldn't trust them scumbags for a minute. Rip it up and throw it away! Thats what the check is worthy of!

Yeah, I have a feeling it's an attempt to get my signature or to get me to verify this non-existent address somehow.
The envelope is hand-addressed to my correct address and it has a person's initial + last name on it.
I kind of feel like sending it back certified with a letter saying that they clearly have the wrong person because I never lived at that address and have had no dealings with them.
