I just got off the phone with Asset acceptance, they want me to settle the account, they will mark it paid in full. I told him how this will not improve my credit score, yadda yadda yadda.
What he told me was that they will not delete, but give me the "tools" to get it deleted myself.
I came out and asked him if I understood him, that if I settle and dispute with the CRA, they will not answer the dispute and it will get deleted.
He said he is not saying that, but that it wouldn't hurt to try it.
It seemed like a wink wink type deal, that he couldn't actually say it, but that is what will happen.
My question is: has anyone disputed their Asset account after they paid it and it was deleted?
