diabla - sorry for the delay in getting back to you. At the time that she was approved, she had an EQ score of 676. And the only negative that she had was an unpaid car loan from 6 1/2 years ago. Other than that, she only had 4 inquiries. So relatively speaking, she had better credit than she had led me to believe. But never the less, I hope that your friend has similar luck! I do know that NFCU is an extremely conservative CU and takes extremely good care of their members. Let me know how it goes for her! Good luck!
@diabla wrote:I'm curious - I'm trying to help someone else out myself in the same situation - can you share what your sister's scores were when she got approved at NFCU? And just a general idea of what type of credit she had?
The person I'm trying to help out also just got in NFCU but has awful credit so I'm considering making her an AU but I want her to try to get the NFCU card too, if she can. Looks like they offer it to you with your membership?
@bbrannan wrote:Update: Not sure why we did not figure this out earlier, but she got her own membership with NFCU through me and applied for her own CC's. Instanly approved for cashrewards Visa $7500! She got a better CL than I did! And here I was trying to help HER out! ha Super proud for her though! Just wanted to share that.

This would be true if she has just opened a new account of her own. She would need to build a history with that account. However, since the home depot account already has a history, the AU wife will have the same history on her report.
To answer the husbands question, it should be the next time the card reports - ideally, it will report to your wife's as well.

I was told by my Liam officer it would be 30 days since she does not have any credit now. Did this happen to you? Did it really take 6 months? If so, I better tell my realtor to cancel the deal
No. You can read my post above. Your wife probably has a lack of history. The Home Depot AU tradline will give her history. I don't know if it will be enough to be scored.
What are the minimum requirements for a FICO score?
There's really not much to it; in order for a FICO® score to be calculated, a credit report must contain these minimum requirements:

What is YMMV?
Your Mileage May Very - meaning, in respect to the results the other person had, you may get further or not as far.
Thanks for all of your help...I will post the results when I get them.
