If you've got a complaint with them, not getting results from their front line CSRs, why not try pleading your case directly to their executive leadership? The rules won't allow me to post that info but I will PM anybody with the information upon request.
Never give up trying to rebuild your credit - credit issues ranging from flat out errors (creditors and collection agencies having the wrong info) all the way to you making a mistake paying your bills along the way ISN'T reason enough to pay for it for the next 7 years in the form of being a credit leper. The crime doesn't fit the time!
I wish all of you the opportunity to live the American dream and qualify for those mortgages, car loans, apartment leases, etc. without having to worry that some collection agency is refusing your evidence that they've made a mistake or that some collection agency won't simply do it's job and take your money/payments in exchange for consideration.
