So I just turned 30 and haven't had a credit card in 10 years. I recently was denied when my own bank(b of a) pulled a credit report and it showed 11 accts with a 579 score. I disputed and it went down to 2 accts. called b of a sent a copy of my new report still no bueno. Called backdopr number that I got from this site and was instantly approved. Can't wait to see my scores rise. Got me so excited I applied today for a cap1 secured also. So going to pray that gets approved also. I have been looking at this site for months and wish I could have gotten this knowledge at a younger age. I appreciate any comments and post people put here. Without this forum I would still be sol. Ty myfico and to all of you reading. Will update when I get a cap 1 decision.

Congrats on the BOA and good luck on the Cap1.  Yes, you will need positive TLs to get a healthy CR and see that score rise!

So in the short time since b of a started reporting. Feb 7th. My scores have shot up 100 PTs across the board. Transunion biggest jump. 579 to 698. Had 11 collection accts. disputed went down to 2. Capital one was approved also. So expect to see another jump once that actually starts reporting. Exciting. This is too addicting
