BankAmericard Secured Visa to BankAmericard Platinum Visa

Hi Everyone!  When I first started re-building / building my credit last year in June 2013,  I opened a Bank of America Secured Visa.  Then, a few weeks after, I opened a NFCU Visa and was offered a 6,000 balance.

Now, in Feb/March 2014,  I was balancing my "check book" online and saw that my Secured Visa deposit had been refunded and my Secured card had been changed to a Bank of America Platinum with a balance of $2,000.

I know that people had issues wth having the card changed over.  I'm not sure if 8 months is long or short.  Currently, my scores range from 684 (Exp) and 640 (Transunion) [equifax is unknown because somehow my score watch just vanished].  My salary is $69,400.  Last year, in June, my salary may have been $68,XXX and my credit scores wre all in the 500s.

I hope this helps! Feel free to ask any questions!

Starting Score (4/6/2013): (All lender pulls) Exp 583, Trans 570, Eq 535

Re: BankAmericard Secured Visa to BankAmericard Platinum Visa

Congrats! Seems to me like your secured card has graduated early.

You could call Bank of America and have the basic platinum card converted to something worth having, like cash rewards or travel rewards.
