TU took mine off 3 months early. No luck with the other two. I would not recommend asking until the 3 month mark. Good luck.
A BK follows the same rules as any other derog entry for an early exclusion, call or write the CRAs 6 months in advance of sceduled drop date for TU, 2-3 months with EX & EQ, EQ is the toughest to get an EE from.
TU removed mine with no problem, EQ and EX did not have the same love!
My BK was scheduled to come off this Sept. I called TU early this week and put the request in for early exclusion. It was off less than 36 hours later. Good luck
Could I ask for an early exclusion on an item that was included in BK that is to fall off 9/15 from TU?

Yes
I was curious to see people's results on this, as well. I called TU just now and learned that my BK filed in Oct 2005 was actually due to fall off one month from today. I asked if they could exclude it early and they filed a "dispute" to request early exclusion.
Update: I also called EX to request early exclusion and they found it had already been excluded(!!). They will be sending out a new CR to me. I'm curious to see how that affects my scores; I haven't seen a score update on EX since 7/24.
There are no "rules" pertaining to early exclusion.
It is solely at the discretion of the CRAs. It is not mentioned in the FCRA or the subject of any state or federal regs.
Until about a year ago, there was no discussion of early exclusions here in the forum. They are a farily recent request upon the CRAs.
For that reason, the CRAs are very inconsistent in their guidelines, even within the same CRA. It often depends upon the whim of the CRA rep that the request falls upon.
Try, and if unsuccessful, try again......

I agree. EE is a form of GW request, only it's addressed to a CRA instead of a creditor. GWs don't have "rules," since they are exceptions to rules by nature. The "rule" for reporting would be the mandates of the FCRA.
That said, some timelines have been established as to when a CRA might approve an EE request, as have been noted above. Again, these are not a guarantee. One should always be polite when making a request, be willing to accept "no," and be willing to request again--just as you would do for any other GW request.
