Becoming an AU Questions

How much does it help your credit?

My father has perfect credit. He recently told me that he was upset because I didn't ask for help while paying off huge medical debts.

I'm thinking of asking to become an AU on one of his accounts to gain credit.

Will this hurt his credit?

No, it wont hurt his credit as long as you dont make a late payment or run the balance up.  If he has long established credit history then yes it can help your credit.

Re: Becoming an AU Questions

It will definitely help. I asked my mother to add me to me to some of her accounts while trying to rebuild my credit.  Just make sure to be added to accounts that have be opened for a long time, like 10+ years to get the full benefit. Hope this was helpful
