No I didn't go. And the judge dismissed the case without prejudice. From what I understand this means they can refile the same suit. Are they likely to file again? Would that cost them more money? I guess that doesn't really matter. They will just try to get me to pay the court costs. Correct?
Nope once a judge dismisses the case without prejudice they are barred by the court to file again. Did you get LUCKY!!!!! Someone is sending you luck!!!!!

So get this..the status for the case was yesterday so I checked the court website. Now it says the case is closed. It says the case is dismissed without prejudice. File is closed/dismissed. No written order. What do you think happened? This seems like good news. I was totally shocked to see this.
Without prejudice means they are not barred from filing again.
Yes, Shogun is correct. I misread your post.
You would need to contact the courts and find out why it was dismissed without prejudice.
What state are you in?
To the OP, What is the DOFD for this debt? I have an old (way past SOL and 1 month away from CRTP) debt with them but wanted to see if this is a new tactic to get a default judgement on it.
