Best thing to do now to improve?

I just started building my credit a little over a year ago. Wondering what I should do next.

I've had a Cap1 secured card open for 13 months @ 1k.

Also got a BestBuy Reward Zone MC open for 2 months @ 300.

Was thinking about either depositing to increase line on the Cap1 Secured or using that money to open a 2nd secured with another bank.

Which of these would be the better way to go? Or neither one?

Thanks for any replies!

Have you considered going for an unsecured card?  Is there anything on your report that would keep you from qualifying?  Will Cap1 graduate you to unsecured?

Re: Best thing to do now to improve?

Well, in the past few months I app'ed for a Citi Forward and a Cap1 cash back rewards (site said I was "pre-qualified").. was denied on both due to "limited history".

Went to bestbuy to buy a new tv and they convinced me to app for their card which is the only unsecured I got.

That was 3 hard's and not really wanting to get anymore right now if I can help it.

Haven't tried to graduate my secured yet, people had told me to wait 18-24 months and I'm at 13.

And no, I don't have any negatives on my report at all.. just the fact that its only 13 months old.

Thanks for replying!
