BofA Home Loans -- GW letter?

Last year, we were able to successfully work out a permanent loan modification with Bank of America Home Loans, and our loan now shows as "Current" on all three bureaus' credit reports, with no negative Comments or Status notes -- HOWEVER, all of the "120 days" late derogs still show.

BofA has since sold our loan to NationStar, which also shows current (no derogs) and we've made 12 on-time payments in a row now.

Would it make sense to write a GW letter to BofA, to see if they'll consider removing the late payments?  Has anyone had any success with this?

thanks in advance,

Paul

Re: BofA Home Loans -- GW letter?

I was once told on these boards that all you need is to find the one "yes man" that will help you out. 20 no's and 1 yes ultimately mean yes when it comes to your credit. It's not going to hurt anything if you send out the GW's. If you don't send them out, you'll always wonder if you could have made things better had you sent them out.
