So I had a collection from CPA for an account I had with brighthouse networks that I had been trying to get removed, it was only 2 years old and I wanted to pay it but I also wanted to make sure it was deleted afterwards, so after talking to brighthouse back and forth for about 6 weeks and also called the collection agency a couple of times and neither would give me a pfd, I decided to just go ahead and pay it. I paid to brighthouse over the phone and they told me it would be removed within 30 days. Didn't really believe them especially after I paid it and the collection agency updated the account to paid a couple of days after I paid it. Good news, I checked Credit karma and the collection has been removed from both equifax and transunion! it took about 35 days after I paid it.
