CA reporting as OC

Hi, I was trying to find the answer to this. On one of my reports the CA is reporting as the OC. if it's open, what is the impact to my score? I don't really want to dispute and wake up the bear. It's about 40 pts lower than the other two. Since it's a Equifax, I feel like it's the most used for lenders.

Thanks.

Merely reporting "open" doesnt mean they are reporting like the OC it means they are actively trying to collect the debt. It would be easier to give direction if you would post up the TL with personal info redacted,.

Re: CA reporting as OC

For example:

Equifax is showing...

CA- (blank)

Original Lender ( Midland)

Oriignal Balance $2989

Current $3421

Status-( blank)

TU and EXP show

CA-Midland

Original Lender-Chase

I hope that helps.

Thanks!
