I sent a DV letter to ERC via email below...
Name: (my name)
to who it may concern,
i discovered that you claim I owe you two debts. reply validation of the debt
They replied asking for
current address,
ssn#,
full name,
maiden name,
scanned copy of my credit report,
reference number
How should I respond to this email?

Send it again, this time include the account number that is included on your report.
hi shogun! so exclude everything else except the account number?
and should i include something like, "you reported me to the bereaus therefore should have recognition of all my personal information"
Your name, and the account number is all they need. They probably don't have the rest of that info, thay's why they're phishing.

Hi, I sent ERC a verification letter with two accounts in question..They replied with the following
We are in the receipt of your email for requesting validation through our website. the accounts have been updated and placed on hold in an investigatory status. We will request documentation from our clients. Our agency will no longer attempt to communicate with you during the investigation of these accounts.

DV is in place, they are barred from collection activity until they can verify.
