CA sent a letter stating they will delete my account

Hi all,

New member long time lurker. Finally doing something about my credit.

Any advice will be appreciated.
I received a letter from a collection agency regarding a apartment eviction debt from 2015. The letter says "(Collection agency name) will delete your account from your credit report and reduce the balance by %50 if you pay or arrange payments by 08/04/17"

Does anyone have any thoughts on this? I plan on paying them regardless the delete would be an added bonus. I would like to move swiftly on this as I am applying for an apartment soon. I will be attempting to get financed for an auto this year as well.

That is a valid contract offer that is an enforceable contract provision if you comply by paying within the set period.

Retain a copy of the offer if you decide to accept.....
