I recently received a letter to settle a judgment that had a $2800 amount on it. However, the CA named in the original judgment offered to settle this at $800. I did not see he lawyer fees or anything else attached to this so can this offer be legit? I don’t want to pay the CA and then the lawyer decides to not satisfy the judgment or send the appropriate paperwork to the court “clearing my judgment”. Anyone have experience with this?
