CAP ONE : Pay as agreed (settled) : can the negative info be deleted ?

I settled the credit card account with collection agent and paid less than full amount. Can we ask for deletion of negative remarks on credit file ? Does anyone had experience on this issue ? Thanks.

I just sent out GW to capital one. I paid Capital One off with a settled offer and it reports Paid. Settled less amount. that was about 2 years ago and they didnt want to remove it and now im trying again. Im just going to keep bugging them until its gone.

How soon after the payment made, Cap One will updated my account as settled ? Can you please pm me the contact person to send good will letter ?
