CBCS Help Please

Just days after having the last baddie on my credit reports removed, I receive a letter from CBCS trying to collect on an old debt that I already had the OC remove once before.

Anyway- Should I send them a letter stating thatt the date of first delinquency was 04/2002, and as such, it is outside of the 7 year reporting guidelines, or should I just send them a standard DV letter.

Thanks guys

Re: CBCS Help Please

DOFD is only relevant if they report.

If beyond SOL or you can PIF, then I'd send a simple DV letter or cease and desist letter.

However, if DOFD was 4/2002, they can technically report until 10/2009.
