Can I send a violation letter as you mentioned if its an unpaid collection? This is how Lvnv is reporting on my EX and TU reports (they are collecting for a charged off Sears card)

I see what you are saying CBlair.  The CA got your account in April 2006 & not long after have reported 90 + days late every month.  Its a lot like Im getting. They say the CA arent allowed to report lates but the keep doing so. Paid or not I would guess whatever solution works for me should work for you also. Just do'nt know what that is! lol

thanks for clarifying. this is clearly a misreporting case where the CA is doing more damage than necessary to your credit in violation of reporting laws and industry guidelines.

 

 my prior advice still stands.

The Sears account was opened in Sept 2002, DOLA Jan 2005, Charged Off in May 2005 but the CA is reporting lates until Jan 2009
