CITI Charge OFF Disapepared by itself

I went to a car delear and had my report pulled TU ffor sure. I approved by Cap 1 Auto and had

4 other inquires from other lenders but none from Citi bank I also never disputed the CO credit card account

my date of first deliqnecy on the CO citi card was may 2009. The CO was for 3800 with an orginal balance of 1800.

Card was opened in early 2007. It was Charged off in early 2011.

I was at the car dealer on friday and pull my report this morning and it's gone. Score went up about 25 points.

Can it come back by any chance?

Anybody have a clue about this?

Yea it possibly could since its nowhere near the 7 year mark. Hopefully they will not be coming for a judgment against you.

Right, or with TU, things can disappear one month, but reappear the next.  Unless you're passed the 7 year mark, I wouldn't count on it disappearing, unless you've challenged and disputed the entry off permanently.

I'd say it's an anomoly and take advantage of it if there are any of TU pullers you want a card from.  It'll likely be back.  Even if they sell to a CA or sue you the CO will remain as well.

What makes this all so odd is that it happened the same day I unfroze my reports and went autoloan shopping.

+1 this is probably the case but lets hope that it just magically fell off

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Re: CITI Charge OFF Disapepared by itself

If they sold it, maybe you can try and find out to which CA they sold it to and call them and pay them before they report... but tell them you'll only pay them if they don't report.

I had a CO dissappear, only to be sold to another CA that hadn't reported yet--I called them and they said they hadn't hit the reporting date or something? I said I would pay them so they wouldn't report it, and they accepted.
