CITI DENIED BECAUSE ACCOUNT WAS IN DMP

I applied for the citi thank you preferred on 01/20/2012. I was denied due to restricted credit privilages on past accounts. The accounts were in a dmp and were never paid late. I finished the dmp on October of last year. I called Citi for information and the rep told that when the credit card polices change and the economy improves they will be able to approve my application. He said I had to wait 5 years (**bleep**). I applied for the Discover more on 01/23/2012 and got an instant approval for 4000 cl. What do you guys think about this? Should I continue to call or should I let this go and move on?

Sorry to hear Champ! But the same thing happened to me with Citi & Chase.... They don't approve apps for people involved with credit counseling. They see you as high risk.
