Well it's been awhile since I have done all this so I can't remember the process exactly and seems like maybe some laws have changed. I have a CA reporting to Equifax only an old debt, well beyond SOL I am in California and the DOFD is 11/2007. Anyways I am not sure if I shoud just dispute this debt with Equifax or sent the creditor a DV. The last time they reported was 2010, and I have disputed this account before and it even says on my equifax report that consumer disputes this account, but I want t buy a house I need to get rid of it, and it cannot say disputed on the report. Any suggestions? Thanks!
