CREDIT ACCEPTANCE

Has anyone had any luck with GW with Credit Acceptance. Long story short, I filed Chapter 13 but I had it dismissed. My car was financed thru Credit Acceptance and i started paying them like I did before i filed. Problem is the car was put in a collection status and thats whats reporting on my credit. I still owe about 3000.00 on the car. And i pay them every month. Should i GW and ask to remove lates and take out of collections? Has anyone had any dealings with this company? Thanks in advance!

Re: CREDIT ACCEPTANCE

If they are the original creditor and were collecting internally, that is not repoting of a collection by a debt collector.

It is the derogs, such as monthly delinquencies or a charge-off, that is effecting your score.

If you are now in good-standing, I would send a GW request for deletion of reporting of any derogs.

Better chance of acceptance may occur if you obtain the name of a management official, and make your spiel directly to them, such as thrugh a presonal phone call.

Re: CREDIT ACCEPTANCE

It's been reported internally by their collection department. The loan was suppose to be paid off by now but for the year I had in bankruptcy they were only getting a percentage of the payments. So the loan will be delinquent until it's paid off. So should I wait until it's paid off or still GW now? Thanks in advance

Personally I would wait till its paid off. Its doubtful they would goodwill it till its paid off as you could always default again.
