So I have been working on my credit report for a few months.
Equifax 549
Experian 551
Transunion 532
I disputed a collection account (Unifund) and it was deleted by Experian and Transuion, Equifax is still pending. Credit score dropped by experian 31 points Transunion went up 56 points. Any one have any insight as to why this would happen. Also I have checks out to other collection accounts to pay in full and some will delete. Should I expect score to drop some more?
Thanks

How old was the collection? Most likely it was because the Average age of accounts was shortened if it was an older collection. Could be wrong, but just throwing in my two cents. Give it time and i'm sure your score will jump back up.

Hello and welcome.
One thing I will ask is where did you get your scores? No one has been able to buy their own Experian FICO score since February of 2009. Creditors can pull Experian and also there is a CU (PSECU) in Pennsylvania that supplies that information to it's members only. You can only buy true FICO scores at a few places. One place is here at myFICO. I suggest you do an internet search for "myfico discount codes" to save a little money.
You can also purchase your Transunion score at www.transunioncs.com. At www.equifax.com EQ will still sell you an EQ FICO score but you have to look very hard to find it
If you got all 3 scores together from some kind of monthly monitoring service then none of them are true FICO scores. They are what we call "FAKO" scores and they can't be relied on for accuarcy and can't be compared to FICO scores in any way. Your real FICO scores might be higher or lower than the 3 scores you have. Which means at this point you don't know if your FICO scores dropped when the collection was deleted.

Hi there.

Was it your only CA? If so, you may have been "rebucketed". Search the forums for "rebucketing" or "buckets" for more info.

The scores listed above are from a lender. The 31 point drop was from bank of America's Privacy assist product that monitors my credit report. I was able to purchase Experian online and it told me my score was 551the same score the lender provided. I live in the state of RI and I was able to purchase this threw Experian directly.

No unfortunately it is not my only collection account. Thanks for the info.

Ignore that score. It isn't a FICO and likely isn't the same score as the one the lender used (virtually all lenders use FICO). BofA's Privacy Assist offers scores, but they are a non-FICO score we call a FAKO. Specifically, this FAKO is called a CreditXpert score. Experian.com also offers scores. Their scores are also FAKO scores. They offer FAKOs called a PLUS score and I think you can also get a VantageScore through them. I think you are comparing different scoring systems which would account for the score difference.
