California Business Bureau did a hard inquiry

California Business Bureau did a hard inquiry pull on my credit report.  Will I be dispute that hard inquiry?  Is it worth disputing?  Why wouldn't it be a soft inquiry pull?

I had sent them a pay for delete letter about a week ago.
Am I able to dispute that inquiry off?

Re: California Business Bureau did a hard inquiry

Debt collectors have permissible purpose to obtain your credit report under FCRA 604.

They can report such that it appears in the consumer's credit report (i.e., as a "hard pull").

Coding as soft is an admin determination based on CRA policy.

It is not a type of inquiry that is routinely coded as soft, such as an internal account review of an existing creditor.

Coding as hard is permissible, and not an inaccuracy that would support a dispute.
