Thank you guys for answering!
The lady who called me also said it never goes away and they keep selling it to debt collectors and it will be reported after 7years on my CR. This is not correct, is it?

As long as a debt is unpaid, the debt can be resold.
I cannot be reported after the 7 years and 180 days from the original DOFD however...

The lady would tell you the sky is green and the grass was blue if she thought she could get the money out of you. No, once it's passed the CRTP it cannot be re-added to your report. She is feeding you a line.
As stated before, unpaid debt doesn't just go away. They can sell from CA to CA. But once it's passed the SOL for a judgement and passed the CRTP for staying on your CR, all they can do is ask.
You have a couple options.
1. Settle it for whatever you would feel good about.
2. Send them a cease and desist letter.
