I plan on calling citi cards today to get 2 of my old closed accounts off of my credit report because the late payments are really hurting my score. Would it be more viable to use a semi threat to help get rid of it? Such as telling them: "I am really happy with how you have treated me and I wish to continue my services with you and have already looked into using you for my mortgage. But I may have to go with another company if you cannot help me in this area. Is it possible for you to take my 2 old accounts off my credit report?" I plan on asking that. Would it be a viable argument or statement?

6/3/08 - TU = 649 / EX = 623 / EQ = 628
