Can a collection agency report a collection every month

I have a collection that is reporting every single month. It is portfolio recovery the jdb. Can they do this?

I thought collections were supposed to be hit once and remain until its paid not updated like a revolving or installment account.

If this is violatng the fcra please let me know

yes, its a tool to keep your score depressed. They cannot report a payment history though only an OC can,

Is fico really fooled by a CA using these tactics? Its not like its a new collection. Its the same one getting updated every month as a collection

wow, good to know about the payment history thing. a CA was doing a monthly history on my EXP report, but not on TU and EQ. although i've finally settled a PFD with this CA. thanks for the info.
