I have a questions about this account. Background: this is a student loan that I defaulted. The orginal loan was $3500, but with the fees and charges ended up being $4100. It was paid off in 2011 or 2012. Is this right? Doesn't this look like two different loans? Id this the way potential lenders look see it? Thanks for any advice/suggestions. (Sorry for the not so pretty copy/paste. I just couldnt get it to look any better)

Its my understanding that defaulted SLs report twice, Im not an expert on SL but if there is a problem with the way it is reporting or you did not have all the lates they say you did then you can dispute it. A word of caution since it has not reported in awhile it could end up dropping your score if you dispute it as the reporting date would come current.
