Can credit score damage due to multiple hard pulls be limited when shopping for a mortgage?

It's probably too late for me, but I was just curious.  Had my credit pulled by 3 different lenders causing my score to drop.  My only hope now is that it's still high enough to qualify.  I was right around 668 Equifax FICO prior to the pulls.  I'm going FHA.

Score-wise, mortgage pulls done within 2 weeks are counted as one.  You shouldn't be penalized for shopping around for a mortgage.

Starting Score: EQ 583 TU04 619 EX 592 (lender pull) 2010
Previous High Score: EQ 700 TU04 712 EX 726
Current Score: EQ 740 TU(Discover) 750 EX(AMEX) 747
Goal Score: 740+ all around
