I had a student loan that went into default bc of the ex wife not paying it, then the state picked it up and then she left that default too, I was working on the road and didnt know anything about this at all, anyways now that i am rebuilding my credit, I was able to get it refinanced through the fed gov. and just noticed on my fifth third cms that the state is entering a "kd"(keyed derogatory) every month since it was paid off and it shows a 0 balance.
