Can a CA report an old debt of mine on my wife's CR?
only if you were cosigners or joint i think....
I believe they can in certain states.
I'm pretty sure if anything she would have been an AU, since she was a full time student and no job. It was back in 2006. We live in Calif.
Since CA is a community property state, if the debt was acquired after marriage, yes they can put it on her report.
