Just curious...
yes
What would be a good percentage to offer?
depends on a number of things.
Who is the debt with?
How long ago was last payment?
What is the balance currently?
Sure you can. Offer whatever percentage you want to and see what they counter back with.
United Consumers. It's a medical collection for $319. DoFD 08/2008.
Complete Collection Services. Medical collection for $153. Original amount was $119. DoFD 04/2007.
These are my most recent collection accounts.
I sent a PFD to Suburban Credit Corporation a few days ago because I received a letter in the mail. Balance of $278 for 3 medical accounts. Only 1 account from them is reporting to Equifax.

Thanks. I feel that the CAs will just ignore my letters if I try for under 50% of the balance. Is a PFD something I can keep sending like a GW?
Yes it is. You can send them, re-send them and negotiate them.
Cool. Thanks for the info.
