Can you sell furniture you have a collection owed on?

Some of the furniture I owe a balance on has been in storage for quite some time and I am wondering if I can sell it and use the money to help pay down my balances? All accounts except one have been sold to a collection agency.

Specifically, Conns Furniture is who I owe. I don't believe they have sold my account to anyone but they also do not send me any letters, no phone calls, ...nothing. The account shows "Closed" on my account since April 30, 2016.

I have over $60,000 in debt to pay down so it's not like my furniture will bring that but if it helps and it hasn't been used for almost a year (staying at home to help pay down debt faster) then shouldn't I use that to help?

Was the furniture placed as collateral when you executed the loan?
