Can someone please explain what this means on my credit report? It is in the remarks section. It shows I have a zero balance, but I didn't. I was not able to pay on it due to unfortunate circumstances by an ex of mine. Shows closed in 2015. Just curious why they would show a zero balance when it was maxed out.

If it's showing a zero balance when it was maxed out, then it is very likely that the account was sold to a collection agency.

Well I have been thinking that also and maybe they have not got around to contacting me. I have not recd any calls or mail about it in almost 2 years. Just looked at my credit report and that's what it said. Guess I will wait and wonder when or if I will be contacted.
