Cap ONE updated?

 

 

I talked to Cap One,trying to get account deleted. It was a paid charged off in June. They lied to me on the phone and said "if you pay is gone" I did  and later one they say that all they could do is updated to Paid charged off. It is showing as a paid charged off only on experian. Today I got an alert saying that a new account have been added to my report on TransUnion. Cap One said that it will take 60 days to get CRA to report the new status. Anyways. on TransUnion these are the differences between Sep 1st and Sep 5. Do you guys think that something was done to the account to reflect anything new? Thanks!

I'd definitely give it some time to see what they do with updating/deleting the account. Did you confirm that it was the Capital one account being added to your transunion? Had it showed on the TU report previously?

 

If they told you verbally they'd delete, I'd demand they pull up the recording of your previous phone call so you have the proof that they agreed to delete (they may or may not do this). Other than that, you can try disputing with the credit reporting agencies stating your case that they agreed to delete or try sending Cap one goodwill letters to delete. You might need to really bother them to get them to budge on deleting. A few posts on successfully sending goodwills to Cap1 for deletes:

So far the Cap One is still showing, They were deceitful when making the agreement. I sent a goodwill later and ask them to review recordings of the conversation. They said that the csr made a mistake but they are not willing to remove the account. What are the chances that they will reconsider this? Cap ONe are major a-holes. I paid every penny but I should have just settled but It was my responsibilty ....so if you have debts with Cap ONe ...Do not pay them in full , It will not benefit you in the long run.
