Cap one GW fail

I used the contact info that was given to me to contact cap one and get this only one 30 day late from Feb 2009 removed.

Got the one page letter saying they have to accurately report the information and thus cannot remove this late.

SO far not having much luck with the GW's

Re: Cap one GW fail

It's a slow process and some creditors are harder than others. I send probably dozens of emails and letters before I got my first "yes" but I've had a few successes and they've had a really positive impact on my credit score so all I can say is... keep plugging away!

Mid-2010 Starting Scores: FAKO EQ 476 FAKO EX 506 FICO TU98 575
Jan 2012 Current Scores: FICO EQ 604 FICO EX ??? TU98 623
Feb 2012 Goal Scores: EQ 620 EX 620 TR 620 (or just the middle to be 620!!)

What's the basis for the dispute?

Wow, sounds like a frivolous dispute - don't know what the consequences could be.  They're unlikely to sue you for harrassment, but they must have SOME remedy to repeated frivolous disputes.
