Cap1 inquiry's

I've had some luck with removing inquiry's but when I got to Cap1 I hit a wall.
Those people have posted (6), yes 6 inquiry's for 1 account, and they are hard inquiry's! They were never authorized.
Additionally, they list them under different names like cap1, capital one,CBNA, capital one USA etc, so I almost missed them.

I send a dispute letter to them they refer me to the credit bureau so I send a letter to the credit bureau who referred me to cap1!
My head is spinning!
Any advice?any great email address's, anything?

Re: Cap1 inquiry's

The only time they should be hard pulling you is for CLI's. Are they pulling 6 in a month? each for the past 6 months?

Re: Cap1 inquiry's

Are they a current creditor.  If so, they have PP for hard or soft pulls.

If not, they do not.

Re: Cap1 inquiry's

If you realize they have PP then you must know they do not need your authorization.  Being a current creditor gives them that authorization.

6 pulls in 9 months is a bit much.  Do you know what they were checking for?  CLI?

Re: Cap1 inquiry's

I wish I knew what they are checking for. They send a generic letter that explains the inquiry process and refer me to the CB's.
Oh well, was hoping for a contact.
