Wow. I went ahead and requested an increase from my $300 limit and they denied me! They cited a "recent" 60 day late. That was 17 months ago. I've been paying consistently on time ever since. They gave me an auto loan in between. I have three accounts with them and am on time for 15 months. I also have raised my income by 4x and my FICO by 100 pnts since the card was opened. Yet, feels like I'm the only one who's having problems with failure to increase limit. I just don't get it.

You are NOT alone. I have two CC (750 CL and 1000 CL), an auto loan, and a checking account with Cap1. I requested CLI on both and was declined twice. I requested PC to Quicksilver and they upgraded BOTH of my cards. I received a letter saying the 1000 CL was eligible for an auto CLI to 1500 in February 2014...we shall see.
good stuff.
Every 6 months you should try for a CLI.
Like you, I started @ 300, then bumped to 500 and 6 months after that did an CLI and bumped to 1000.
Jan 15th is my next 6 month mark and I can't wait to see what i get bumped too.
Well, I will keep trying over time. I just feel very disheartened because I've worked so hard & I'm still being shut out of a lot of things. I guess it's the Midland and Asset Acceptance because they came out of nowhere with this zombie debt from '05 & it looks serious, and new and large and VERY BAD. Midland has already agreed to delete because DofFD is misstated. I'm working on Asset Acceptance now. I know things are improving, but it hurts to have this devistating drag which looks like something it's not. OK, so now I stop whining, trudge on & keep moving forward.
